The purpose of propaganda is to make one set of people forget that other sets of people are human.

The above two quotes are as relevant today as they were when first offered for consideration.
Propaganda is defined as information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view (New Oxford American Dictionary).
In current use, it is commonly known as misinformation, a term we have been bombarded with much too often. Disinformation is a despicable tool wielded by dishonorable individuals or factions to stir up and promote feelings of resentment and anger in susceptible individuals or groups towards certain individuals or populations whose race, color, or creed are not identical to theirs.
Human beings possess intellect and emotions and are motivated by both. Depending on circumstances, one or the other may take precedence.
In the case of propaganda, emotions are usually the primary target because we human beings are more easily swayed. The first quote, I believe, is an example of this.
The second quote, I believe, is aimed more directly to one’s intellect.
I believe that we human beings are influenced by one or the other or both simultaneously.
I believe that it is more beneficial for us and others to allow our intellect and common sense to take precedence over our emotions in our thoughts, decisions, and behavior.
Thus, I believe, that it is paramount for we citizens of these United States of America to think and decide before casting our votes in the November elections in the best interests of ourselves and each and every one of our brothers and sisters.
As Americans, and human beings, vote we must.
Stand up and be counted.
Do not be Afraid.
