A strong nation, like a strong person, can afford to be gentile, firm, thoughtful, and restrained. It can afford to extend a helping hand to others. It’s a weak nation, like a weak person, that must behave with bluster and boasting and rashness and other signs of insecurity.

Although some historians and political scientists often criticized President Carter’s policies, he was a man of strong and genuine faith who faced the problems and crises, of which there were many during his time in office, with thoughtful consideration, analysis, and self-discipline…tempered with compassion and open-mindedness.
These qualities were enhanced, as the world observed, in his devotion to the service and benefit of all human beings.
These are attributes learned and practiced by exceptional individuals who are elected to lead and govern nations.
Those who ignore the rights of any or all of the citizens of their countries are unqualified to govern.
Such was the case when the new colony, America, was ruled by Great Britain which at the time was a monarchy, or dictatorship.
After successfully declaring and winning their freedom from tyranny, the Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, created a Constitution, establishing three separate and equal branches of government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.
This was done in order that no one person or group could hold supreme power over the rights and freedoms of it’s citizens.
In the United Staes of America, it is the sworn duty of each and every member of the three branches of our government to honor, uphold and execute the tenants of their oaths.
It is the commitment and duty of every citizen to make sure that each and everyone of those who took these oaths are held accountable to them.
Do so for the sake of yourselves, your loved ones, and your country…And for them.
Do Not Be Afraid.
