THE SHINING CITY ON THE HILL

When asked if the united States should have a military parade to show off its might, this was then President Eisenhower’s response:

“Absolutely not. We are the pre-eminent power on Earth. For us to try and imitate what the Soviets are doing in Red Square would make us look weak.”

-Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower was the 34th president of the United States, serving from 1953 to 1961. During World War II, he was Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe and achieved the five-star rank as General of the Army.

On the domestic front, President Eisenhower, a moderate conservative Republican, expanded Social Security and signed the Civil Rights Act of 1957. His administration undertook the development and construction of the Interstate Highway System which remains the largest construction of roadways in American history.

Eisenhower made greater use of press conferences than any previous president, holding almost 200 over his two terms, seeing the benefit of maintaining a good relationship with the press, and the value in them as a means of direct communication with the American people.

He also created the new Cabinet-level agency of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, while extending benefits to an additional ten million workers.

Ronald Reagan

“We should be aware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends… weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world… all while cynically waving the American flag.”

– Ronald Reagan

Both Presidents will go down in history as prominent leaders and champions of the Constitution, freedom and the civil rights of the America people and our way of life.

And, as President Reagan said, “Democracy is worth dying for, because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man.”

The legacy of these two men, these two Presidents, is one of preserving Ronald Reagan’s desire for America to be the”shining city on the hill.”

In this time of Fear and Chaos in our country and around the world, we must do what these two men and many others have and are presently doing to stand up and voice our opposition against all those in government…Republicans, Democrats, Independents…, the Supreme Court, Judiciary, the media, and all citizens who are striving to disrupt and destroy the hard-fought battles and war by our ancestors to create and win our independence and freedom from aristocracy and oppression.

We must unite and do this together, or face and live with the consequences.

Do Not Be Afraid.
